Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Plains (Portage) presents this exciting virtual fundraiser inspired by the popular TV show, Survivor!

WHAT IT IS

A facebook live virtual reverse raffle. Four to a team. The goal is to have one team member ticket still in the draw at the end of the game. Each day of the event, names will be removed from the draw. The last three tickets win – see below.

HOW TO PLAY

This elimination-styled fundraiser invites teams of four to test their luck over the course of 9 days to win the ultimate grand prize! Each day, names will be drawn at random and these participants are then eliminated from the competition. Teams are not eliminated until every team member has been drawn and removed from the running!

WHAT YOU WIN

Grand Prize 25% cash of total Registration fees, not including Bonus tickets The value depends on the number of teams participating! Max 70 teams.

If 70 teams play the grand prize will be $1750.
2nd Prize: $350 BBQ package incls. meat, gift card, beverages (Prairie Abattoir, Homestead Co-Op)

However, if you are a strategic team and purchase a Bonus Ticket with your registration you have an extra chance to win. Each team may only purchase one team Bonus Ticket and it must be in play at the beginning of the game. The cost of a Bonus Ticket is $40.

How it will run.

Maximum number of teams is 70. Each team is made up of 4 people.
Each team purchases a book of 4 tickets on which they will put the team name and one ticket for each player on that team. These are called registration tickets.

Each day at noon, Monday -Friday February 16 – February 26th a draw will be made to eliminate players. This will take place from noon – 12:30 at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office in Portage la Prairie on Facebook live, Sip, Support and Survive page.

On February 26th, the 3rd last name to be pulled will win the 3rd place prize for their team. The 2nd last name to be pulled will win the 2nd place prize for their team.
The last name drawn will win the 1st prize for their team.

Bonus Entry:
Each team may purchase 1 bonus ticket, with their team name on it and which will be entered at the beginning of the game.

1. Prize Eligibility

a) Must be over 18 to play.

b) Employees of the agency are not permitted to buy tickets or win prizes. Family members of agency staff are allowed to purchase tickets and win prizes. If a family member of one of the above restricted parties buys a ticket and puts a name of one of the restricted parties on the ticket that ticket becomes void and ineligible to win a prize with no refund given to the ticket buyer.

2. Draw Location

a) The draws will start Tuesday February 16 and continue Monday to Friday with the last draw being on Friday February 26th at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office 15 Tupper St. S, Portage la Prairie, MB

b) The event will start at 12 noon and finish at 12:30 pm each day.

3. Awarding of Prizes

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

a) First place prize will be awarded to the team who has purchased the ticket that is numbered as the last ticket pulled.

b) Second place prize will be awarded to the team who has purchased the ticket that is numbered the same as the second last ticket pulled.

c) Third place prize will be awarded to the team who has purchased the ticket that is numbered the same as the third last ticket pulled.

d) 1st prize is based on 25% of entrance fee team tickets sold, not including Bonus Tickets. 2nd prize is valued at $350 and is a BBQ meal package.
3rd prize is valued at $200 and is a wine package from Jones & Company.

e) If the bearer of a winning ticket does not claim the prize within 30 days a draw will be made from all tickets.

4. Ticket Sales
a) Ticket sales will run from February 2, 2021 until February 15th, 2021 4:30 pm.
b) Total number of tickets printed is 280 Team Registration tickets & 70 Team Bonus tickets. c) All ticket sales are final
d) Tickets shall not be sold or advertised outside the province of Manitoba

e) Tickets will be sold 4 for $100 (70 books of 4=280 tickets). 1 Bonus Ticket $40 (70 tickets). The bonus tickets are available only one to each team that has previously bought Team tickets.
